Many restaurants across Texas run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Southlake is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Southlake is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. We had such a great experience at Malai Kitchen in Southlake! We came with friends while celebrating our anniversary, and everything from the food to the service was wonderful. The food was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious, and our service was attentive and welcoming throughout the entire meal. They even surprised us with a complimentary dessert for our anniversary, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the evening feel even more special. I will also say the Tiramisu was the best Iβve had in a long time and also the coconut pie was so flavorful and unique! We really appreciated the hospitality and how well we were taken care of. Such a lovely experience celebrating with friends β thank you!

Really enjoyed our visit to Malai Kitchen. The food was good, but it wasn't quite as memorable as I was expecting. The banana pot de crème, though... wow. That dessert was incredible and ended up being my favorite part of the meal. I'd absolutely order it again.

It is way better to dine in. They seem to always get my to go order wrong. Today I ordered massaman lamb that is suppose to come with Jasmin rice. I did not receive the rice. And the lamb comes with a boiled egg and I did not receive that either. So I wasnβt able to really enjoy this dinner. I did call and I thought the manager was gonna refund me for this but she refunded me $4.33 for the rice and egg. I called back cause I was upset at Malai for being so cheap, it was their fault for not packaging the whole meal. When I called back the other manager Mike was very nice. I did feel better. But the company should change that policy and whoever packages the to go order should do a better job, because itβs happened before at this location with other meals. The dine in experience is much better than ordering to go.

The food is decent if youβre into a Thai fusion kinda vibe. My favorite option was the shrimp spring rolls. The Cod was good but wasnβt given flavor. Our Server was attentive and courteous. I do like the atmosphere, it was quite busy but nothing felt rushed and loud. Overall, Iβd go back.
